The Respect Life Ministry of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, located in Buckingham, Pennsylvania, held its second annual Pro-Life Fair this past weekend.
Members of four pro-life organizations had tables in the church narthex with literature, manned by volunteers from their centers to answer questions from parishioners.
Tom Stevens, President and CEO of both the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia and Guiding Star Ministries spoke at each of the Masses. Several people stopped by the tables and commented that they had no idea there were so many organizations in our area where pregnant women could go to obtain help.
The organizations represented were, Guiding Star Ministries, A Baby's Breath Crisis Pregnancy Center, Legacy of Life Foundation and Blessed Margaret of Castello Home for Crisis Pregnancies.
These groups are a few of the many pro-life organizations in Southeast Pennsylvania, most run by volunteers who put in many hours to help women who have no where else to turn when they find themselves in a crisis pregnancy. Below is a brief summary of the mission of these centers.
Guiding Star Ministries, located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, is a maternity home for single pregnant women and their children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Through group meetings, and a nurturing faith-based environment, they try to help their residents work toward total independence.

Blessed Margaret of Castello Home for Crisis Pregnancies, located in lower Bucks County, is a residential home for pregnant women offering support, guidance, and physical security in a loving atmosphere throughout a woman's pregnancy.
