Both Gianna Jessen and Melissa Ohden managed to survive saline abortions, as Ohden puts it, “by the grace of God.”
Ohden says they “should have been just another statistic” just like the other 1.5 Million unborn babies killed by abortion every year. And since the House hearings, their powerful testimonies have gone viral online.
Melissa Ohden describes the saline abortion procedure as “injecting a toxic salt solution into the amniotic fluid surrounding the preborn child. The intent of that salt solution is to scald the child to death, from the outside in.”
“For days, I soaked in that toxic salt solution...I should have been delivered dead, as a successful abortion,” Ohden said. Yet against all odds, she survived.
The other testimony came from Gianna Jessen, who as result of oxygen deprivation to her brain from the botched abortion, suffers from cerebral palsy. Today Gianna Jessen is well known in the pro-life movement as a talented singer and a powerful speaker in favor of the protection of innocent unborn lives. Jessen is a powerful reminder for pro-lifers like you and me to remain courageous in our battle to protect the innocent:
Says Jessen, “every time we falter in courage as individuals and fail to confront this evil, I wonder how many lives have been lost in our silence, while we make sure we are lauded among men and do not offend anyone?” “If abortion is about women’s rights, then what were mine?” Jessen asks.
Melissa Ohden closed by declaring, “As a fellow American, as a fellow human being, I deserved the same right to life, the same equal protection under the law as each and every one of you.”
