Down Syndrome Lives Matter

By Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director
Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

Pennsylvania high school student Chloe Kondrich demonstrates quite clearly how Down syndrome lives matter. In her short life, she has served as an ambassador for those with special needs, helping public officials recognize the gifts and talents that people with Down syndrome have to offer.

Chloe will be among those gathered at the Pennsylvania State Capitol at 10 a.m. Tuesday for a news conference promoting legislation that recognizes the inherent value and dignity of children with an extra chromosome.

The resolution, sponsored by state Senator Scott Martin (R-Lancaster), condemns the abortion of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome. Studies indicate the vast majority of preborn children who have been given a Down syndrome diagnosis are aborted, even though people with Down syndrome contribute greatly to our families and our communities.

If you are concerned about the abortion of Down syndrome children, please consider joining Chloe at the Capitol. She will greet you with a priceless smile that will make it well worth the trip!

The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, Inc., is committed to promoting the dignity and value of human life from conception to natural death and to restoring legal protection for preborn children. Through legislation, political action, education and other legal means, we proclaim the truth about abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia.  For more information or to find out how you can become involved, please use this link.
