Pro-Abortion Politicians Must Not Receive Holy Communion
Cardinal Raymond Burke, an American who serves as the top judge at the Vatican, recently stated that Catholic politicians who support abortion must not receive Holy Communion.
In the past, as archbishop of St. Louis, Mo., Burke said he would deny Communion to then-Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), the current secretary of State, and that Kathleen Sebelius, the current secretary of Health and Human Services, should not receive Communion. Burke is among the cardinals in Rome who will vote for the next pope.
