1. Demonstration to Challenge Austin Planned Parenthood

35 pro-lifers assembled on November 10 along Arboretum Blvd. for a demonstration to “greet” those attending the annual fundraising banquet of Planned Parenthood Austin. This was the third year pro-lifers from the Austin and Waco areas convened to let Planned Parenthood and others traveling to and from the Austin Renaissance Hotel know that abortion and promotion of promiscuity will be vigorously challenged. Planned Parenthood Austin operates four facilities and is part of the mega-affiliate Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas.
John Pisciotta of Pro-Life Waco led the contingent from Waco. Susan Parker and Lynn Williams organized the energized participation from the greater Austin. Leon Leftwich drove “Carolyn” the billboard truck from Waco. The truck was adorned with bright pro-life messages and contained more than enough signs for all. The high-spirited demonstration began at 4:30 p.m. and continued until 6 p.m. Here is one of the photos.

The demonstration drew TV news coverage from Austin Fox 7 and Austin cable public access channel.

Fox 7’s lead story for its evening news can be viewed or read here.

Sarah Wheat of Planned Parenthood and our Susan Parker were interviewed.  The story referred to us as “pro-life,” rather than “anti-abortion” or “anti-choice.”
You can see a photo set (13 of them) here.

After the demonstration, the pro-life faithful went on to a nearby restaurant for hamburgers and good fellowship.

2. “Abortion is NOT Healthcare” billboards—6 of them
Just last Saturday, six junior billboards were displayed in greater Waco for Pro-Life Waco.
This is what the billboard looks like:

Our boards are in these locations. The boards have been rented for 2 months. Check them out if you live close to Waco.

--Crest @ I-35
--Sun Valley Road south of Bagby

3. Abortion ban after 20 weeks is spreading
The Texas HB-2 law includes a ban on abortions beyond 20 weeks of pregnancy. This provision has been taken up by other legislative bodies. As I type, New Mexico is approaching votes on the bill.
The U.S. House of Representatives has already passed the bill and the U. S. Senate is now taking it up under the leadership of Arizona Republican Senator Trent Franks.
Please pray that these and many other pro-life bills will be enacted and effectively enforced.

4. Waco victories celebration coming soon.
In April of 2013, Planned Parenthood Waco announced the death of its 23-year-old Nobody’s Fool conference, which lured children into becoming sexually active. Then on Halloween, Planned Parenthood Waco announced its abortion facility had been closed and will remain closed pending the final court decisions on Texas HB2 pro-life legislation. I doubt that the Waco PP killing center will ever reopen. Don’t you think all this merits a pause for celebration?  Watch for a big announcement in our next email newsletter.  You might want to circle the date of December 14.
