A troubling trend of pro-abortion violence and harassment toward pro-life advocates is taking place around the world and includes actions directed at medical doctors, clergy, and peaceful pro-life demonstrators of all ages.
These acts of intolerance and discrimination deny others their freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of worship while threatening personal safety and security. Abortion activists seek to silence and intimidate those who speak the truth about abortion.
These acts take place while pro-abortion supporters at the United Nations and the Inter American Commission on Human Rights at the Organization of American States, along with a number of pro-abortion organizations, are advancing the legal status of pro-abortion activists by defining them as so-called “human rights defenders” who need special protection in countries where abortion is illegal or where opposition to abortion is strong.
