Great fellowship and prayer, inspiring general
sessions and informative workshops will mark the third annual National Sidewalk
Counseling Symposium to be held in Minneapolis July 25-27. Hosted by Pro-Life
Action Ministries, which runs one of the nation’s oldest and most comprehensive
sidewalk counseling programs, this symposium is designed to promote and
encourage sidewalk counseling across the country. It is open to any pro-lifer
interested in sidewalk counseling, with general sessions, and workshops for beginners
and leaders.
Presenters include Shawn Carney, Rev. Walter Hoye, John Jakubczyk, Esq., Edmund Miller, Fr. Frank Pavone, Ann Scheidler, Joe Scheidler, Eric Scheidler, Alica Wong, and Pro-Life Action Ministries staff: Brian Gibson, Debra Braun, Rev. Brian Walker, Stephanie Welter and Kristin Windey.

* Spiritual Foundations of Sidewalk Counseling
* Purpose, Focus and Essence of Sidewalk Counseling
* Basic Sidewalk Counseling Training
* Advanced Sidewalk Counseling Training
* Role-Playing Workshop
* Legal Rights of Sidewalk Counselors
* Reaching Minorities
* Dealing with “Mega-Mills”
* Recruiting Volunteers and Organizing a Local Sidewalk Counseling Program
* How to Train New Sidewalk Counselors
* Commanding the Sidewalk
The symposium will begin on Thursday evening, continue all day Friday, and conclude by noon on Saturday. The symposium fee is $50 (there may be some scholarships available for those unable to afford this fee).
