We applaud the House of Representatives for bravely taking a stand and voting for life

Dear Friends,
Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1797, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. The vote was 228 to 196.
We applaud the House of Representatives for bravely taking a stand and voting for life.
After the Kermit Gosnell trial, the American people were horrified and demanded action from our government leaders. Thankfully, the House answered the call by passing the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Gosnell was not an aberration, and we praise the legislators who acted to prevent future babies from the same fate.
Now the battle moves to the Senate. Supporters of this bill recognize that these babies can't speak for themselves but that they can feel pain and respond to their mother's voice.
CWALAC and 250,000 of our members were actively engaged in this battle, knowing how monumental this vote is and its potential to change the abortion debate within our country.
We praise them and their legislators for their courage to take on this issue. As we celebrate a key victory, we must continue fighting for the Unborn. Please take action with CWALAC right now by putting your name on the line for life. Sign our online Petition to Defund Planned Parenthood.
