New Jersey Action Alert: Please Attend Hearing, Monday, March 12 to Support Efforts to Stop Physician Assisted Suicide in NJ

from Marie Tasy, Executive Director
New Jersey Right to Life

The Assembly Judiciary Committee has scheduled a hearing on Monday, March 12 at 12 noon on the NJ Physician Assisted Suicide legislation (A1504/S1072). This bill made it through the Assembly twice in previous legislative sessions, but failed to garner enough votes in the NJ Senate.

Now, with the election of a new Governor and new members in the Legislature, the supporters of this bill are trying again.

The NJ Coalition Against Physician Assisted Suicide is once again joining together to try to stop this dangerous bill from becoming law in NJ.

For this reason, we are asking you to please come down to Trenton on Monday to be a presence at the Committee hearing to show your opposition to this legislation.

When: Monday, March 12, 2018
Time and Meeting Location: We will meet in the State House Cafeteria at 9:45 a.m. where we will provide stickers to clip on to your clothing and provide further direction.

Bring Photo ID with you. You will need to go through Security and inform the guard that you are there to attend the Assembly Judiciary Committee hearing.

Directions to the State House and Parking can be found at this link.

We have been notified that additional parking will be available behind the Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption in Trenton.  The entrance to the lot is on N. Chancery Lane which is a small brick-paved street that runs behind the Cathedral off of Bank Street. For GPS, please use 175 N. Chancery Lane.

Please RSVP by no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, March 9 so we can get a headcount. Please RSVP to jruggiero@diometuchen.org

Please pass this on to friends an family who are opposed to legalizing doctor induced suicide.  Ask them to join you on Monday, March 12th.
