Pennsylvania Action Alert! Help Pass the Down Syndrome Protection Act!

Maria V. Gallagher, Legislative Director
Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

We are gaining support in the Pennsylvania Senate for the Down Syndrome Protection Act, also known as House Bill 2050. This common sense bill, which has already passed the PA House, would ban abortion for the sole reason of a Down syndrome diagnosis.

Unfortunately, it’s not enough for us to win passage of the bill in the state Senate. We need to win enough votes for a veto-proof majority, since Governor Tom Wolf’s staff have said he would veto the bill if it came to his desk.

We have identified five state Senators who have not yet committed to the bill whose votes could help secure that veto-proof majority.

Please consider calling these Senators and urging them to vote Yes on House Bill 2050 because you want to see an end to the discrimination against babies with Down syndrome:

Senator John Blake—717-787-6481

Senator Dan Laughlin--717-787-8927

Senator Chuck McIllhinney--717-787-7305

Senator Christine Tartaglione—717-787-1141

Senator John Yudichak—717-787-7105

Thank you so much for making these critical calls!
