Update on A1504, NJ legislation to Legalize Assisted Suicide - Immediate Action Needed!

from Marie Tasy, Executive Director
New Jersey Right to Life

The bill to legalize physician assisted suicide (A1504) has not yet been scheduled for a vote by the full Assembly. However, there are two more
Assembly Voting Sessions scheduled before the end of June (June 25 and June 28). We have information that proponents of the bill are actively
lobbying Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-19) to post the bill for a vote. At this time, we are asking you to please do the following:

  1. Please Call, email and fax Speaker Craig Coughlin TODAY and urge him NOT to schedule A1504 because it is bad public policy for New Jersey. Please feel free to add your own personal message/ experience to explain why you oppose this legislation.
  2. Please contact 10 friends/family members TODAY who oppose this legislation and ask them to share it with 10 more people to do the same.
  3. Please call Speaker Coughlin's office EVERY DAY until June 28th to urge him NOT to schedule A1504. Ask for a response.

Speaker Craig Coughlin's contact information is below:
District Office: (732) 855-7441
Fax number: (732) 855-7558
email: AsmCoughlin@njleg.org

Please do this immediately as time is short!
