The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation is holding their annual Pro-Life Essay and Oratory Contests.
The Essay Contest is open to students in 7th to 12th grades. The Oratory Contest is open to high school students in 9th to 12th grades. The deadline for the Essay Contest is March 2nd, and for the Oratory Contest the deadline is April 15th.
There is a 500 word limit for grades 7 though 9; for grades 10 through 12 the word limit is 750. Those entering the Oratory Contest must submit a video.
Topic for both contests must be on abortion, euthanasia or stem cell research.
Students may enter for the chance to win cash and other prizes. The winner of the Oratory Contest will go to New Orleans for the National Right to Life Committee Convention scheduled for July 9 - 11, 2015.
Young people today are stepping up and becoming strong advocates for the right to life. Perhaps it is because as many as one in three people in their generation have been lost to abortion. Students have more opportunities than ever to restore protections for life in the womb.
For details and rules on either contest, contact lifelines@paprolife.org or call their office at 717-541-0034.
