Wichita Doctor with History of Incompetence Secretly Signs on at Local Abortion Clinic‏

Wichita, KS - A Wichita doctor, Leslie E. F. Page, D.O., who was once disciplined by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts for "professional incompetency," has secretly signed on to work as an abortionist at South Wind Women's Center, which is now located in the building that once housed George Tiller's infamous late-term abortion business.

As of this writing, the 24-hour Informed Consent Form available on South Wind's website, which is required by law to list abortionists by name, fails to include to Page.

However, documents obtained by Operation Rescue show that a form handed out in person at South Wind does indeed list Page as an abortion provider at that facility.

"For women signing the on-line forms, the omission of Page creates an informed consent issue," said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. "It seems that clinic owner Julie Burkhart will go to any lengths to keep anyone from knowing that Page is one of her abortionists - including misrepresenting her staff on forms where full disclosure is required."

New York Times Admits Fetus is Human

Bill Donohue comments on Janet Maslin's review of Frog, a novel by Nobel Prize winner Mo Yan:

Janet Maslin has been reviewing movies and books for the New York Times for several decades, and up until now she has faithfully towed the newspaper's line on abortion.
In her 2009 review of The Snakehead by Patrick Radden Keefe, a book about Chinese immigrants smuggled into the U.S., Maslin referred to the book's commentary on China's one-child policy as nothing more than "propaganda-ready stories of forced abortions and sterilizations conducted there"; she noted, with derision, that these accounts became "attractive to America's religious right."

Today Maslin slipped. In her review of Frog, she discusses China's one-child policy by noting how an abortionist sought "to trap a very pregnant woman before she can give birth. A fetus in the womb is still fair game for her. But if it can manage to be born, it becomes a Chinese citizen, and she has no right to take its life anymore."

The "it," of course, is a baby boy or girl. But let's not be picky: Maslin's admission that once the baby is born, the abortionist "has no right to take its life anymore" is a frank acknowledgement that life begins in the womb. 

Maslin won't lose her job over this—it was obviously a Freudian slip. No matter, it reveals, once again, that even the most ardent pro-abortion proponents are given to inadvertent bursts of honesty.

Baby Born After RU-486 Reversal is ‘Light of Our Life,’ says Father

WASHINGTON (CNS) — Two-month-old Gabriel Caicedo is one of 78 children who have been saved by a new medical protocol being used to reverse the effects of the RU-486 abortion regimen in its early stages.

The baby is “the light of our life,” said his father, Chris Caicedo.

He and Gabriel’s mother, Andrea Minichini, told their story at a Feb. 23 news conference held by the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life to call attention to a RU-486 reversal kit available to physicians.

The RU-486 medical abortion procedure is a two-day regimen used to terminate early pregnancies by blocking the hormone progesterone needed to sustain a pregnancy. It involves two types of medication — RU-486 itself, which is mifepristone, and a prostaglandin, known as misoprostol, that stimulates uterine contractions, and taken two days later to expel the fetus.

At the news conference, association officials and Fr. Pavone said the reversal kits work to counteract the “abortion pill” by increasing the levels of progesterone in the mother’s body.

The RU-486 protocol, approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2000, involves three visits to a physician’s office over the course of two weeks and has been known to cause complications ranging from stomach pain and bleeding to death resulting from sepsis.

According to the FDA’s website, despite the risks associated with it, many women go through with the protocol but end up having a surgical abortion because of “medical abortion treatment failures.”

“It’s not a ‘quick and easy process,'” said Dr. Mary L. Davenport, a former president of the obstetrician association. Besides the 20 percent risk that a woman will have a serious complication such as blood loss, severe infection or ectopic pregnancy, “the woman also has the guilt of knowing that she terminated her pregnancy,” she told reporters.

Dr. Matthew Harrison, a family practice physician from North Carolina, was the first doctor to perform a medical abortion reversal, and he also addressed the news conference.

He recounted the case of a woman who came to him in 2007. According to Harrison, the woman had been to an abortion clinic where she was “bullied and pressured” into opting for a medical abortion.

The mother wanted to know if there was any way to stop the effects of the drug. At the clinic, he said, “they gave her no hope. They said, ‘There’s nothing you can do; you have to complete this procedure.'”

Harrison told the woman, “I need to step out and pray” about her request. “Then I said a prayer and started looking through books and thinking about how RU-486 works,” he told reporters. “It essentially just blocks the progesterone receptors and starves the baby.”

Harrison then immediately took some progesterone he had on hand for fertility treatments and, after informing the mother that the treatment might not work, injected her with the hormone.

She later gave birth to a little girl, who survived with “no problems and no ill effects” and, according to Harrison, is now “an excited little cheerleader for her local football team and just a great little joy to be around. She’s doing wonderfully.” Her mother went back to school and is now a respiratory technician and has purchased a house.

Since Harrison’s discovery, Davenport and Dr. George Delgado, medical director of the Culture of Life Family Services in San Diego, have published a series of case studies “demonstrating successful reversal of mifepristone effects in women who chose to reverse the medical abortion process.”

Delgado, who also is a member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, heads the Culture of Life’s reversal program.

In her comments at the news conference, Minichini, recounted her experience in a Planned Parenthood exam room last summer. Through tears of pain and uncertainty, she told the nurses that she wanted to have an abortion. After being informed of the rate of her unborn son’s heartbeat, she said, she couldn’t bring herself to swallow the large, white pill in her hand.

But she was repeatedly chided by the supervising doctor, she said, and so gave in and took the pill.

“I knew immediately after I swallowed the pill that I had made a bad decision,” Minichini said. “I even tried throwing up, but nothing happened.” At a hospital in New Jersey, she was told that her child would be deformed and disabled if she didn’t take the second pill in the RU-486 procedure.

“I was just at an end,” she said. “I didn’t have any hope, so I just started Googling,” before finding a hotline number that put her in touch with a physician who could reverse the medical abortion.

Gabriel David Caicedo was born Dec. 31, 2014, weighing 8 pounds 9 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. Despite what his mother was told back in May, Gabriel is an extremely healthy and energetic child.

“He’s very active, always awake and alert, making eye contact,” Minichini told Catholic News Service. “He just rolled over for the first time last week at 6 weeks old.”

To other young men facing unexpected fatherhood, Gabriel’s father urged contemplation.

“Take a deep breath and think about the situation. It’s a hard situation to go through, but it’s not as bad as many fathers think that it is. They (kids) are just a blessing to be quite honest. He gives us more ambition to progress (in life). … You just have to grab the bull by the horns,” said Chris Caicedo, adding, “Gabe is the light of our life, and this (pro-life) message is his purpose.”

Andrea, 22, is currently studying to be a physician’s assistant and Chris, 23, is studying accounting.

Stories such as Gabriel’s are important because they have the power to change minds about life and inspire hope in the face of abortion, according to Father Pavone. “The pro-life movement is about saving lives,” he stated, “and we save lives by taking despair and replacing it with hope.”

“There is not one person here who cannot save a life by spreading the news about this technique,” the priest told reporters, “the goal of the pro-life movement is to end all abortion, and for babies like Gabriel, who are here today because of this technique, abortion did end. It was conquered; it was overcome.”

The Culture of Life Family Services has a network of about 200 participating physicians around the country using the reversal procedure.

The American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists hopes that the reversal kits will eventually be available in emergency rooms and pregnancy crisis centers across the country to become more accessible to women who want to reverse the effects of RU-486.

Stephen Phelan of Human Life International says abortion giant Planned Parenthood and Marie Stopes International are just two groups spending "ridiculous amounts of money" to convince Africans to stop having children.

"So that the elites here in the West can feel better about the environment, or something," he says. "Really, we don't understand their larger argument but either way it's the same. They're trying to get people of color, primarily in the southern hemisphere, to stop having children and that's what we're trying to stop."

Brick by Brick Campaign to be Held at Planned Parenthood in Overland Park, KS

Planned Parenthood is gathering individuals to help spread their "comprehensive sexual education" (promotes sexual immorality to our youth) this coming Saturday at their Overland Park, Kansas facility.

To counter this event, we ask that you join with us and Stand in witness for one hour praying the rosary and holding signs and banners in front of Planned Parenthood to dissuade volunteers from attending the Planned Parenthood event and help to educate the public.

Brick by Brick is a campaign of the Archdiocese of Kansas Pro-Life Office to assist in pro-life efforts to bring about the closing of the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Overland Park. Pro-Life Reflections of Bucks County Students Who Attended the March for Life

On the morning of February 23, 2011 I awoke to the scream of my wife coming from the bathroom down the hall. I jumped out of bed and ran to her, finding her standing next to the toilet bleeding. In tears she pointed to the toilet where the body of my son (approximately 12 weeks into his development) was floating.

I stood in shock for a moment as we did not even know we were pregnant; the test we took weeks earlier came up negative. Then I noticed my wife was not steady and she was bleeding badly. I wrapped a towel around her to stop the bleeding and scooped my son’s body out of the toilet. I then loaded my wife into the van, as I knew driving her to the hospital would be faster than waiting for an ambulance.

When we arrived in the emergency room the attending doctor immediately called for a specialist, as he could not stop the bleeding; there was blood literally on the walls and floor. As the specialist came into the room he looked up and said, “Oh my God; is that her blood pressure?” My heart stopped. I have to say that was the scariest moment of my entire life as I thought for a moment I might lose my wife.

The doctor was able to stop the bleeding and my wife was stabilized. The doctor pointed to the container holding our son and said her would “take care of that.” I told him, “No, we are going to have a funeral.” The hospital actually treated us extremely well. They were very sensitive to our loss; I was surprised.

Abortion Emergency Filmed at Dangerous Brigham-Owned Pensacola, FL Abortion Clinic

Pensacola, FL - A Pensacola, Florida abortion facility, owned by the notorious New Jersey abortionist Steven Chase Brigham, transported a woman to the hospital on Thursday, February 19, 2015.

The ambulance arrived around 2:20 pm while pro-life activist Dave Halupowski videotaped the incident during a 40 Days for Life Prayer vigil outside the abortion clinic.

The condition of the woman is currently unknown.

The abortionist thought to be responsible for the medical emergency is Warren I. Taylor, D.O., a Pennsylvania abortionist who also works at several of Brigham's eight New Jersey abortion facilities. After Brigham was ordered to stop operating abortion facilities in Pennsylvania, Taylor allowed his license in that state to lapse, but still maintains valid licenses in Florida and New Jersey.

Call the Target national line (800-440-0680) and ask them to immediately stop promoting the 50 Shades of Grey movie by selling products for living out the deplorable themes of this movie. You might also ask for a public apology. When you call, choose #2 in response to the first set of choices and then #1 for the next set of choices.

Now, here is the Target backpedaling report from visits to stores last Saturday in Houston, Temple, Georgetown and Round Rock, TX. All stores were in retreat. For Round Rock and Temple, the 50 Shades products had been removed from the store because of customer complains. In Houston and Georgetown, the products had been moved from the end cap to a less visible position in the store. (The products are in a special display rack near the pharmacy.)

Back to the action request. The Gospels are clear about our Lord’s outrage about those who would lead a child to sin. Don’t we have an overwhelming obligation to stand up to those overtly trying to entice our children and grandchildren to sin and destruction? This is not a fool’s errand. Target will buckle nationwide if we stand up boldly. And this will become a strong message for Target marketing decisions in the future.

Mississippi Fighting to Maintain the Ability to Protect Women's Health and Safety

Jackson, MS - Fighting to maintain the right to protect the health and safety of its citizens, Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood has filed a Petition for a Writ of Certiorari with the United States Supreme Court seeking to overturn a "confusing and inconsistent" Fifth Circuit decision that effectively placed the last abortion clinic in Mississippi "beyond the regulatory reach of the state."

"We know all too well what happens when abortion facilities are left unaccountable. We end up with the likes of Kermit Gosnell. When abortion clinics are held above the law, women are the ones who suffer when they are subjected to increasingly degrading conditions and shoddy procedures," said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. "If anyone thinks that's just exaggerated rhetoric, we have the documentation to prove that this is an unfortunate fact within the abortion cartel today."

At issue is a 2012 law, HB 1390, which requires abortionists to maintain hospital privileges within thirty miles of the facility where abortions take place.

Planned Parenthood clinics have been caught on tape telling women that no women were hurt at their clinics, even after medical emergencies had just occurred. Cardinal O’Malley, Archbishop Lori Urge Support For The Health Care Conscience Rights Act

WASHINGTON—Congress should reaffirm the principle that government “should not force anyone to stop offering or covering much-needed legitimate health care” because of a conscientious objection to abortion or other procedures, said Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley of Boston and Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore. In a February 13 letter to the House of Representatives, the bishops, who chair the Committee on Pro-Life Activities and the Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), urged legislators to support and co-sponsor the Health Care Conscience Rights Act (H.R. 940).

“It is increasingly obvious that Congress needs to act to protect conscientious objection to the taking of innocent human life,” wrote Cardinal O’Malley and Archbishop Lori. “Recently California’s Department of Managed Health Care began demanding that all health plans under its jurisdiction include elective abortions, including late-term abortions. This mandate has no exemption for religious or moral objections, and is being enforced against religious universities, schools and even churches. Similar proposals have emerged in Washington and other states.”

The bishops noted that the Abortion Non-Discrimination Act (ANDA) section of the bill would give firmer legal basis to the Weldon amendment, part of every Labor/HHS appropriations bill since 2004, which forbids governmental bodies receiving federal funds to discriminate against those who decline to take part in abortion or abortion coverage. They noted that President Obama has expressed support for the Weldon amendment.

In addition, the bishops said that H.R. 940 would incorporate respect for rights of conscience into the Affordable Care Act, allowing those who purchase, provide and sponsor health coverage under the Act to opt out of abortion or other specific items that violate their moral and religious convictions. Finally the bill would recognize a private right of action for victims of discrimination under either provision, so they can go to court to defend their rights.

“We strongly urge you to support and co-sponsor the Health Care Conscience Rights Act,” the bishops concluded.

I am not criticizing Matt Chandler’s message. Not at all. He had the guts to call out abortion in a mega church – not a small church where you know most of the members but a church system that has ‘campuses’. But because the 51 minute message is so taboo – even in the church – he took 12 minutes to ease the crowd with anecdotes of his family life, 20 minutes to say when life begins, and finally 22 minutes to say the word “ABORTION”. What this proves is that Pastors are FEARFUL of speaking out on the murder of innocent children in the womb.

To get to the truth of a matter, you need to hear both sides of the story. And that’s especially true with abortion.

Last week on BreakPoint, I told you about the convocation address I gave at the University of the South in Sewanee. The theme of my talk was the importance of civil discourse and freedom of speech, and how without them, we cannot have a healthy and free society.

I told my audience that I do in fact see efforts, especially on college campuses, but also in the media, to silence opposing voices on a whole host of issues.

And nowhere is this more evident than with abortion. And it’s not just that pro-life advocates are often shouted down or kept off campuses or the airwaves. No, what really concerns me—actually, what really pains me—is that we don’t hear about a whole class of people who suffer deeply from the wounds of abortion. And that is the women who deeply regret terminating the lives of their babies.

Instead, we are treated to accounts of just how wonderful abortion is. The daughter of a friend of mine attends a chic-chic school here in Manhattan and she was made to watch a video of women raving about what a great decision it was to have an abortion—with no opposing viewpoint. It is heartless propaganda.

40 Days for Life Spring Campaign in Philadelphia, PA

Forty Days for Life, the worldwide event which takes place each spring and autumn, is in full swing.

The mission of the 40 Days for Life campaign is to bring together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40 day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism, with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion.

In center city Philadelphia the campaign is in progress and they are looking for people to fill a few of the days.

The days and hours of coverage will be Monday through Saturday 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. You can contact Dr. Monique Ruberu at roobearoo@hotmail.com for more details or to schedule an hour or two to pray. The days they particularly need coverage are Thursday, February 26th and Saturday, February 28th.

As you can imagine, this is quite a difficult undertaking. Over 20 babies were saved during the first campaign at this location this past Fall.

Praise God!!!

A mother was leaving the Norristown Planned Parenthood after having a pregnancy test and is going to keep her baby!!! Bill Bogle, a Sidewalk Counselor spoke to her and she gave him the good news.

We have a demolition crew across the street from Norristown's Planned Parenthood that is taking down the old Montgomery Hospital and the Medical Building on the corner. It has been years since Montgomery Hospital did surgical abortions; they stopped due to the pro-lifer's prayers and faithful persistence. Praise God!!

A demolition worker had asked Victoria and myself to move our cars back up the street to park a huge vehicle for the demolition process.

Earlier as I was driving past the other side of the hospital and I was listening to the demolition ball being thrown on the side of the hospital wall, I couldn't help but think that our faithful prayer warrior's during this prayer vigil who will be fasting, praying and public witnessing will eventually close this medical abortion mill. All in God's perfect timing.

But Tomorrow Never Came

Billy and Suzan grew up together, they were neighbors and close friends,

They walked to school together every day;

They liked each other quite a lot, their friendship just kept growing,

And life was simple, full of fun and play;

Then suddenly they were ten years old, their braces were now gone,

And life was just a game of childhood bliss;

Suzan ran ahead of Billy, giggling as she ran,

Billy caught her, and gave her her first kiss;

They grew up quickly, all too quickly, oh how the years did fly,

And before they knew it they were in their teens;

Billy got a motorcycle, and a black leather vest,

And Suzan wore her tight fitting jeans;

Both their parents had careers, at which they spent long hours,

It seemed that money mattered most of all;

Billy and Suzan went to college, where soon they both discovered,

Illicit sex, with drugs and alcohol;

Neither they nor their parents had time for church, yet they claimed to believe in God,

Or at least in some Supreme Being up above;

They learned a lot about evolution, chemistry and quantum theory,

But they never learned about Jesus and His love;

There were a few Christians on the college campus who witnessed to Billy and Suzan,

And told them that Jesus loved them very much;

But Billy and Suzan wouldn’t listen, they only longed for each other,

Just wanting to feel each other’s tender touch;

And so they partied and drank a lot, and sneaked into each other’s room,

And life was Oh so wonderful and wild;

High on alcohol and drugs, throwing caution to the wind,

Then Suzan discovered she was pregnant with Billy’s child;

“What are we going to do Billy?” “I’m only nineteen and pregnant!”

‘Well you’ll just have to get rid of it I guess!” 

“Oh God Billy, I don’t know if I should, do you mean an abortion?”

“I never thought our lives would be such a mess.”

“Now listen babe, I know this doctor who can take care of this today,

And no one else will ever have to know;”

“But Billy, I’m already three months, and the baby has a heartbeat,

And as you can see I am beginning to show!”

“Well I ain’t ready to be no Daddy, so babe you’re on your own,

I’ve got bigger and better fish to fry;”

He could tell her heart was broken, but Billy couldn’t care less,

He walked away as Suzan began to cry;

She could no longer concentrate upon her college studies,

On Wednesday morning she decided she would quit;

All she made was failing grades, her classmates just kept staring,

Noticing Suzan’s clothes no longer fit;

Then one day Amanda, a Christian girl, met Suzan on the street,

And gave her a big hug and a beaming smile;

“How are you doing, Amanda asked, are you still dating Billy?”

Suzan blushed, saying, “Can we talk a while?”

“I’m pregnant Amanda, with Billy’s baby, I’m three months along,

Oh God Amanda, I don’t know what to do;”

“Well honey, you just sit right here and let me be your friend,

Whatever you’ve done, Jesus still loves you;”

“Billy wants me to have an abortion, he says it’s the only option,

He says if I don’t he will never marry me;”

“But Suzan, that would be cold-blooded murder, and that baby deserves to live,

He’s just covering his own butt, can’t you see?”

Suzan, you and Billy need Jesus, He is your only Hope, if only you will call upon His name,”

“I know you’re right Amanda, and I will do it tomorrow,”

Tomorrow in church” – But tomorrow never came.

Billy pulled up on his motorcycle, smiling his sexy smile,

“Hey gorgeous, would you like to go for a ride?”

She quickly dismissed her friend Amanda, and the cycle sped away,

The evening News said – “Today three more have died.”

Two young college students – a boy and his pregnant girlfriend,

Speeding along with whiskey on their breath;

Billy ignored the speed limit signs, losing control of the cycle,

As a boy, a girl, and a baby met their death.

TX LAWMAKER SAYS BABIES IN WOMB DESERVE LEGAL PROTECTION

A Texas lawmaker is developing legislation to provide legal rights for a preborn child in certain circumstances

What prompted the idea is a case in 2013 in which a pregnant, 33-year-old Fort Worth woman was found unconscious by her husband. The baby was 23 weeks old but doctors diagnosed the mother as brain dead.

The husband demanded pulling the plug on mother and baby. A court fight ensued, resulting in a court ruling to halt life support and she died.

Rep. Matt Krause is drawing up a bill that would provide legal representation for the baby in such cases.

Violent Population Control Continues in China

Contrary to recent reports, China’s population control policy still systematically enforces a policy of coerced abortion, sterilization, and child abandonment. The propaganda, coercion, and violence used by the Chinese Family Planning police continues to violate the rights of Chinese women, men, and their unborn children.

In November 2013, the Chinese government changed the regulations to the policy: couples in which both persons are only children are eligible to apply for a second-birth permit.

Media coverage and a non-profit, All Girls Allowed, have lauded this move as a victory. Media reports have even gone so far as to claim that the lower than expected number of couples applying to give birth reflects a tacit approval of the government’s population control policy.

Steven Mosher, the president of the Population Research Institute, rebuts these claims, saying “Every child born is a gift that deserves celebration, but we cannot ignore the continuing policy which coerces and forces Chinese women into abortions at a rate of a quarter million every week.” The 2013 change in the one-child policy was not the first; in the mid 1980’s, the government permitted rural couples whose first child was a daughter to apply for a second-birth permit in an attempt to mollify the country’s catastrophic gendercide.

The incremental change in the policy in 2013 was a change in degree—not in kind, —and the Chinese government still retains tight control over reproduction. According to a Business Spectator article, 28,464 couples applied for a second birth permit last year in Sichuan, China’s most populous province. The government only approved 5,530 of the couples’ applications for a birth permit. The systematically enforced intrusion of the Chinese government into the most intimate and personal part life continues to violate the human rights of the Chinese people.

“Abuses are continuing at this very moment,” says Mosher, who blew the whistle on forced abortions in China in 1980. “The Chinese family planning police enforce the one-child policy by levying exorbitant fines, threatening one’s source of employment, and when such methods fail—the family planning police force women to undergo abortions."

In terms of duration and the number of its victims, China’s population control policy retains its distinction as the worst systematic abuse of rights in human history. “Any government which engineers and enforces a policy of violently ending young lives demands impassioned opposition from every member of humankind,” Mosher stated.

In addition to killing unborn babies on a massive scale, these men have committed some of the worst crimes imaginable, ranging from murder to racketeering to sexual assault.

I know it will be hard to pray for these men, but that's part of why I believe it's absolutely necessary.

Jesus told us to pray for our enemies and minister to those in prison. If you and I don't pray for these men, hated even by those in the abortion industry, WHO WILL?

Take ACTION to Stop GM Human Embryos

Time is short.

Whether or not you live in Britain, you may have heard about a new procedure which, if approved by both Houses of Parliament, would result in the creation of "3-Person embryos.”

The House of Commons just approved this alarming technique of human genetic modification two weeks ago. And now, the only thing that can stop it is the House of Lords.

By signing this petition, you will write to those who sit in the House of Lords, to ask that they reject this worrying legislation.

On Tuesday, 24th February, the House of Lords will vote on amending a 2008 law. The change would allow for a procedure which combines the DNA of two women and one man.

This procedure, called DNA transfer, has been likened to procedures used to clone Dolly the sheep, and has caused alarm in ethical and scientific circles.

By combining the DNA of three people into one embryo, the Peers would be allowing for the creation of a new type of human being.

Put simply, this new legislation is like playing God.

Parliament has clearly lost sight of the fact that the unintended consequences – both for the individual and for society – could be very serious.

Quite apart from the obvious ethical problems with this procedure, serious concern also exists about the lack of peer-reviewed safety checks.

Indeed, this procedure is now banned in the United States!

For these reasons, we are supporting several UK organizations to insist that the genetic modification of human beings be rejected!

If you live in the US, Australasia or Europe, you might think that this doesn't apply to you because you aren't living in the UK.

But, as we all know, these scientific and ethical "novelties” tend to travel from one Continent to the next – and, very often, with great speed.

Moreover, the human embryo is one of us – irrespective of country or race – from the moment of conception, and is worthy of absolute respect.

Therefore, we need to encourage the House of Lords to reject this demeaning legislation.

By stopping this legislation in the UK, we have much better chances of stopping its spread throughout the world.

Thank you for standing against the arrogant and dangerous genetic modification of human beings, and thank you for standing for life, family and freedom.

Canadian Child Murderer Robert Latimer Supports Legalized Euthanasia

Who would benefit most from the legalization of euthanasia? Without question, it’s people like Robert Latimer. Latimer, a Canadian from Saskatchewan, murdered his daughter because she had cerebral palsy. He was given an extremely light sentence, and many Canadians supported his decision to kill his daughter. And with the Canadian Supreme Court decision to overrule the ban on physician-assisted suicide, it’s really no surprise to find out that Latimer has come out in support of their ruling.

A Saskatchewan father who chose to end his severely disabled daughter’s life is pleased with the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision to strike down the ban on doctor assisted death.

Robert Latimer went to prison in 1997 and sparked a national debate on euthanasia and the rights of the disabled for mercy killing his 12-year-old daughter Tracy.

He said the ruling surprised him but he thinks it gives hope to those in pain. 

“It’s a recognition of the need for the stopping of people’s suffering,” he said. 

… “All these disabled groups, it’s pretty unfortunate and their circumstances are certainly terrible, but for them to feel threatened by us not cutting a feeding tube into our daughter.. that’s so hurtful to them that that didn’t happen, that’s issues they’re going to have to sort out amongst themselves,” he said.

Latimer murdered his daughter because she was disabled, and yet he can’t understand why disability rights groups are horrified at the thought of legalizing euthanasia? Well, it should be pretty clear: it’s because of people like him.

Reflecting on Abortion in Philly and Black History Month

Black History Month is a celebration filled with music, dance, and bright colors. The nostalgia of remembering our mothers, fathers, aunts, and uncles who lived colorful lives comes to remembrance. We who are older tell our children and grandchildren about the great actors, writers, doctors, lawyers, and inventors from the ‘30s and ‘40s who succeeded because they didn’t give up in the face of racism and negativity.

Four hundred years ago, blacks were treated as slaves with no human rights; but today through our hard work and determination, we are able to own a business of any kind and be a part of the political system that makes the laws of the land.

It has been a long journey, full of every imaginable emotion a man or woman can go through. Even though we have had so many accomplishments, we as so many other cultures have been fooled into thinking we can tell our young people it’s OK to kill a child in the womb.

What Do Women Really Want?

Click onto the website of the nation's largest abortion operation, and you'll see phrases such as "opponents of women's health" and "every woman's right to make her own medical decisions."

The message being broadcast is that to oppose Planned Parenthood is to jeopardize women's well-being and to prevent women from making decisions that affect their health.

This may be "on message" for PP, but it is actually off-message for many women.

National public opinion polls show that most Americans--including women--oppose most abortions. So, in lobbying for unrestricted abortion, PP is advocating against the deeply-held beliefs of many women.

Pro-abortion advocates have been relentless in fighting the most basic health and safety standards for abortion facilities. Even in the wake of the crimes committed by abortionist and serial killer Kermit Gosnell, they balked at regulations designed to protect women from butchers at abortion facilities. Such an absolutist position is not simply pro-abortion, it is anti-woman.

Research shows that as many as 60 percent of abortions may be coerced, meaning that a woman is pressured by someone else to seek an abortion. Often, that other person is a boyfriend or husband. So, in a number of cases, abortion advocates are defending a man's right to make what they claim to be is a woman's decision. So, too, it is often a male abortionist who carries out the procedure. I have heard far too many accounts from women who felt demeaned and disrespected by the men who aborted their children.

Supreme Court Brief Filed in Support of Choose-Life License Plate

Independence Law Center asks high court to stop censorship of “offensive” speech

(HARRISBURG, PA) - The Independence Law Center, in conjunction with Jonathan D. Christman of Fox Rothschild LLP, filed a brief last Friday with the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of Children First Foundation, a pro-adoption nonprofit that has been promoting its mission through specialty “Choose Life” license plates. Some states allow groups to apply for specialty license plates, which provide revenue both to the state and to these nonprofits. While a myriad of other plates were permitted, the state of New York denied Children First Foundation’s “Choose Life” license plate after it determined that the plate was “offensive.” Litigation on behalf of Children First Foundation is ongoing in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

The U.S. Supreme Court is considering an almost identical issue in Walker v. Texas Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans, dealing with a plate that the state of Texas found to be “offensive.” Children First Foundation is filing a friend-of-the-court brief explaining the danger in allowing government agents discretion to ban speech based on its perceived offensiveness.

“Increasingly, the average American is finding that his speech may be disfavored by the government. Even Children First Foundation was told that ‘Choose Life’ is too offensive,” said Randall Wenger, Chief Counsel of the Independence Law Center in Harrisburg. “Regardless of whether someone supports adoption or life or any other issue, all of our freedoms are in jeopardy when government can pick and choose who should be silenced based upon the content of their speech.”

“We are hopeful that the Supreme Court will uphold the right of free speech against restriction by government agents in the Walker case so that none of us finds himself or herself censored by the government,” said Christman.
