from Keith Tucci
Heart for the Next Generation

In the book of Second Kings in the seventh chapter is a story about two lepers who knew they were going to die because of a famine in the land. They said in verse four: “If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ then the famine is in the city and we will die there; and if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us go over to the camp of the Arameans. If they spare us, we will live; and if they kill us, we will but die.” These men were desperate. They were willing to walk in to the teeth of the enemy, their desperation was just to survive. God is looking for men and women who are desperate for others to survive. God supernaturally intervened for them, the enemy was thrown into confusion and heard multitudes coming. They abandoned their camp. Then in verse nine we see the response: they said to each other: “What we’re doing is not right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let’s go at once and report this to the royal palace.”

What would have happened if those lepers would not have gone back and told everybody? I believe that right now the abortion industry is unguarded, they are reveling in the promiscuous society that they are in. Many of them are celebrating the new homosexual revolution, but the altar of Baal that feeds all the wickedness with blood sacrifice is being ignored. Right now we have an opportunity. It costs nothing to sit back, curse the darkness, and complain about bad things. Let’s arise and shine, let God’s glory shine on us and through us, let’s take back what the enemy has stolen, let’s go forward, God will fight for us, and let us do it now.

Schedule
  • Mornings will consist of street activity and outreach. Together we’ll prayerfully gather on the streets in front of the abortion mill and participate in other outreach endeavors.
  • Afternoons on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will contain two 45 minute seminars between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. During this time there will be a track for the youth and a track for everyone else. The youth will go to youth seminars and everyone else to their seminars. It will be a time full of high-caliber teaching on how to effectively influence the world with Jesus and bring an end to abortion.
  • Evenings We will have rallies each evening where we come together into the presence of God, worship, and hear dynamic testimonies and messages that will give us more than enough substance to hope for the future and persevere in the war against abortion until it is no more.
If you have not registered for the event yet, you can do so by clicking here!

We are missionaries to the next generation, empowering and saving the next generation in our efforts to end abortion. We do this through proclamation, revelation, demonstration, humiliation.

Complaint Seeks to Disallow Sex Offender from Control of Brigham New Jersey Abortion Business‏

from Operation Rescue

Trenton, NJ - Operation Rescue has submitted a letter of complaint to Deputy Attorney General Jeri Warhaftig urging her office to disallow the alleged transfer of Steven Chase Brigham's New Jersey abortion businesses to Vikram Kaji, an abortionist who worked for Brigham for years and has a history as a sex offender.

Brigham was ordered to divest himself from the eight abortion businesses he operated in New Jersey under the American Women Services banner after his medical license was revoked last year. New Jersey allows only licensed providers to operate medical facilities.
"The transfer of Brigham's abortion clinics to Kaji is completely offensive and unacceptable. It is shocking that Kaji is even allowed to practice medicine, given his background of sex abuse, drug violations, and negligence," said Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Policy Advisor for Operation Rescue, who wrote the complaint. "We are asking for the State to disallow the transfer of Brigham's abortion businesses to Kaji, and order them to close immediately."

Kaji was convicted by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners in 1993 for having improper sexual contact with three patients. Kaji reportedly had sex with one young girl at his office during business hours and later plied her with drugs. He knew his victim was vulnerable to his advances because she had been a depressed victim of child sex abuse with a history of psychiatric hospitalization. Kaji admitted that he had made an error in moral judgment.

Kaji was also accused of giving improper breast and rectal exams to two other women. The NJBME placed Kaji on a 1-year suspension and fined him $5,000 and ordered him to undergo psychological counseling.

The Federal Drug Enforcement Agency revoked Kaji's license to prescribe controlled substances in 1994. Also that year, Pennsylvania suspended Kaji for 36 months. The New York Medical Board revoked Kaji's medical license for "sexual misconduct and drug abuse" in 1995, and banned him from practicing in that state.

In May 2013, the NJBME issued an order against Kaji, which revealed that inspections of Brigham's abortion facilities uncovered numerous safety violations. The Board found that Kaji had "failed to adequately fulfill his responsibilities as Medical Director."

Kaji recently suffered a stroke that impaired his memory and vision, raising questions about his ability to continue practicing.

"Now, women face the dreadful prospect of Kaji operating Brigham's very busy abortion clinics without Brigham's oversight, as shoddy as that oversight may have been. This poses an unacceptable risk to women who are now vulnerable to sexual exploitation at these abortion facilities," said Sullenger.

AUL Reveals 2015 Legislative Trends

Pro-Life Innovations and Dangerous Bills Targeting the Sick and Elderly

From Americans United for Life

WASHINGTON, D.C. (04-27-15) – “Innovative additions to informed consent enhancements on health risks and realities of abortion, medically appropriate health and safety standards for abortion providers, abortion limits at 5 months of pregnancy, and dangerous legislation targeting the sick and elderly represent key legislative trends across the country on life issues," noted Americans United for Life President & CEO Dr. Charmaine Yoest, in releasing AUL’s mid-session legislative analysis.

“Despite efforts to shut down pro-life legislation at the federal level, pro-life Americans across the country have worked together at the state level to ensure that mothers and their unborn children are not abandoned to a callous, profit-motivated abortion industry that lobbies for us to ‘Trust but Never Verify’ women’s health and safety,” said Dr. Yoest. “Successes across the country illustrate the growing national conviction that the reality of human life in the womb and the dangers of abortion to women must be addressed in the law.”

Number One Trend: Informed Consent Enhancements, Chemical Abortion CAN be Reversed

“Innovative informed consent laws have been enacted in Arizona and Arkansas, based on AUL model legislation, that require women to receive vital information on the possibility of reversing a chemical abortion. This represents another victory for Life as a result of AUL’s mother-child strategy,” said Dr. Yoest. “With chemical abortions now accounting for 1 in 4 abortions, women need to know what all their options are.” Click here to learn more about chemical abortion reversal.

Number Two Trend: Continued Protections for Women in Abortion Clinics
Question: Is Your State Rated “Dangerous” Because of Poor Legal Protections?

In addition to enhancements to informed consent laws and limits on abortions at 5 months, abortion clinic regulations and admitting privileges requirements continue to advance at the state-level. Abortion advocates are actively opposing such protective legislation and, in 2015, have spearheaded the consideration of at least 25 measures to rollback recent pro-life gains at the state level. Click here to learn whether your state has been rated “Dangerous” because of poor legal protections for women.

Number Three Trend: The Elderly and Sick More Vulnerable to Pressure to End their Lives

“While we see increasing national consensus to protect life in the womb as a pregnancy advances, most disturbing is a trend to make the sick and elderly less safe,” noted Dr. Yoest. At least 24 states and the District of Columbia are considering measures to legalize physician-assisted suicide, a more than threefold increase in such measures. Much of the momentum supporting these measures derives from the publicity surrounding the assisted-suicide death of Brittany Maynard in November 2014.

A number of measures based on AUL model language have been enacted or have made significant progress this legislation session. As of April 23, 2015, six AUL measures have been enacted and three AUL model resolutions have been adopted. Further, AUL has assisted in the enactment of chemical abortion regulations in Idaho and in the defeat of anti-life measures in New York and Connecticut.

Update on Monday's in court Scheidler vs Planned Parenthood‏

Eric Scheidler, Executive Director
Pro-Life Action League

Thank you for all your prayers for yesterday's court hearing in my case against Planned Parenthood's abortion clinic, operating illegally in Aurora, Illinois.

You were one of thousands praying all over the country as my attorneys faced off against the nation's largest abortion chain. That spiritual support was palpable.

Dozens of pro-lifers showed up for the hearing in the Second District of the Illinois Appellate Court-so many that many were not able to get seats and had to wait outside in prayer.

Our pro-life attorneys from the Thomas More Society did a great job of presenting our case that Planned Parenthood must be held accountable for defrauding the people of Aurora and all of Illinois when they constructed their huge "Abortion Fortress."

We won't get a ruling for at least six months -- which means more time us to pray for a good ruling.

Meanwhile, check out this quick one-minute video that I shot outside the court building immediately after the hearing:

After you see my remarks outside the court, please consider making a special gift to help me continue my fight against Planned Parenthood.

All you have to do is scroll down below the video to make a secure, tax-deductible donation.

Finally, I'd like to ask you to pray specifically for the three justices who will rule on this case:

  • Susan F. Hutchinson
  • Kathryn E. Zenoff
  • Robert B. Spence

Thanks again for your ongoing support in this battle against Planned Parenthood, Unborn.

YOU can help shut down Planned Parenthood's illegal abortion clinic!

Your gift will help Eric Scheidler and the Pro-Life Action League hold Planned Parenthood accountable for their lies and deception.

You can play a part in shutting down Planned Parenthood's illegal "Abortion Fortess".

Post-birth Abortion?‏

Martin Fox, President
National Pro-Life Alliance

One of the awful side effects of abortion –- even ignoring the slaughter of unborn human life involved -- is the cavalier attitude it creates toward human life in general.

So it should be no surprise to anyone when recently the so-called Journal of Medical Ethics, based in London, published a study advocating "post-birth abortion."

I'm not making this up.

These self-proclaimed "ethicists" (who I should point out have all already survived the womb themselves) actually argue that parents should be given a kind of "trial period" of unspecified time in which to change their mind and eliminate their baby.

Now not surprisingly, a huge outcry of protest has arisen against this wholly barbaric proposal.

Do you know how the authors defended their arguments?

They simply applied the Planned Parenthood / National Abortion Rights Action League mantra.

They argued that if you accept the abortionists' claim that what they do is ethical under any circumstance, then nothing really changes right after a baby is born.

And you know . . . intellectually, they're right.

If it really is OK to kill a child the month before his birth, or three months before birth, or by partial birth abortion, how do they make a distinction? Why is there any difference in killing one right AFTER birth?

Killing babies is killing babies.

Of course, given the obvious horror, I don't think it's necessary to argue why the advocates of "post-birth abortion" are wrong.

But that is why it is vital that you and I do all we can to force Congress to vote on, and ultimately pass, the Life at Conception Act to reverse Roe V. Wade and ultimately end abortion-on-demand.

Because every human life is precious in the eyes of God, and science and common sense dictate that life begins at conception, it is clear that abortion is the wanton taking of human life and no truly great nation can allow this practice to take place.

Ever since the dreadful Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, more than 55 million precious unborn babies have lost their lives.

The National Pro-Life Alliance's members, staff and volunteers are dedicated to halting this slaughter once and for all. And despite the many remaining obstacles, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Important Update on RHNDA and HRAA‏

Reproductive Health Non-Discrimination Amendment Act (RHNDA) and the Human Rights Amendment Act (HRAA)

From Amy McInerny
National Committee for a Human Life Admendment

Please act today to defend religious liberty! Your action is still needed to help stop two dangerous pieces of legislation recently passed by the Council of the District of Columbia and signed by the mayor. These acts, the Reproductive Health Non-Discrimination Amendment Act (RHNDA) and the Human Rights Amendment Act (HRAA) are unprecedented threats to everyone’s religious liberty.

Because of Washington, D.C.’s unique character as a federal district, the Constitution grants Congress the authority to legislate for D.C. and to disapprove recently passed legislation. On April 21, 2015 the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee advanced H.J. Res. 43, the Resolution of Disapproval of the Reproductive Health Nondiscrimination Act (RHNDA), by a vote of 20-16. To date there has been no action on the resolution of disapproval of HRAA (H.J. Res. 44).

We should renew our urgent request to Congress to rescind RHNDA and HRAA. Please take action immediately on the NCHLA action alert found here.

Thank you for making time to respond to this action alert in defense of life and liberty. Together we will be heard.

For more information about these bills, please read our Legislative Report.

The National Committee for a Human Life Amendment is dedicated to pursuing this vision. The organization's objectives include educating citizens, developing pro-life legislative networks, and offering programs in support of pro-life legislation. Among its various activities, NCHLA produces educational and program resources, communicates with leaders about legislative priorities, and presents legislative seminars throughout the year. In a special way, NCHLA assists dioceses, state Catholic conferences, and Catholic lay groups. The Committee also works closely with the Secretariat for Pro-Life Activities of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Ambulance Transports Planned Parenthood Patient on Abortionist's First Day on the Job‏

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Spokane, WA - Pro-life activists with Sidewalk Advocates for Life of Spokane shot video footage as an ambulance loaded a patient at the Indiana Health Center of Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Spokane, Washington, then sped away to a local hospital with lights flashing and sirens blaring.

The woman appeared to be completely covered head to toe with blankets or sheets. An IV bag could be seen hanging over the gurney. One clinic worker with an umbrella unsuccessfully attempted to block view of the gurney from the street.

Adding a "creep factor" to the incident, the video clearly showed a woman carrying what appeared to be a red plastic biohazard bag who rode with the ambulance to the hospital. Aborted baby remains are often placed in such bags, but there was no way to determine from the video exactly what was in the red bag.

Missed Conceptions

by Karen Reep
Catholic Stand

The culture of birth control is a strong one. It is an accepted practice by most Christians and unfortunately, most religions today. An article from 2012 states that 82% of Catholics accept birth control although the Church is against it. Why is this?

Simply put: money.

Of course, money is important. We all need a roof and we all have to eat. However, once these needs are met, once our bellies are full and we are warm and sheltered, are we satisfied?

Cleveland, OH - For the second time since the death of Lakisha Wilson last year, abortionist Lisa Perriera has sent yet another patient to the emergency room.

An ambulance arrived at Preterm abortion clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, shortly before 2:20 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015. At 2:30 p.m., pro-life activist Fred Sokol filmed a woman on a gurney, "wrapped like a mummy," in his words. She was completely covered in pink and purple blankets as she was wheeled out of Preterm and loaded into an awaiting ambulance.

The Jubilee Year of Mercy and our Commitment to Children in the Womb

by Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director
Priests for Life

It is time for the doors of mercy to open even wider for the People of God. Jesus Christ himself is the mercy of God. To believe in him is to believe in mercy, to witness to him is to witness to mercy. And the Church wants us to become experts in this.

That is why Pope Francis has declared an Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, to be observed from December 8, 2015 thru November 20, 2016.

On April 11, 2015, the Vigil of Divine Mercy Sunday, the Pope issued the document explaining the purpose and vision of this special Holy Year. It intersects perfectly with our commitment to rescue children from the violence of abortion.

Pope Francis points out that mercy is seen in God’s actions, and must be seen in ours. He points out that Psalm 146 “attests to the concrete signs of his mercy: ‘He secures justice for the oppressed; he gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free; the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.’… In short, the mercy of God is not an abstract idea, but a concrete reality through which he reveals his love as that of a father or a mother, moved to the very depths out of love for their child” (n.6).

Later in the document, naturally, the Pope points out how this is fulfilled in Jesus’ own description of his ministry as one that will “proclaim liberty to the captives”.

If we are to live out mercy, therefore, the Pope explains that we are to “look forward to the experience of opening our hearts to those living on the outermost fringes of society: fringes modern society itself creates. How many uncertain and painful situations there are in the world today! How many are the wounds borne by the flesh of those who have no voice because their cry is muffled and drowned out … Let us open our eyes and see the misery of the world, the wounds of our brothers and sisters who are denied their dignity, and let us recognize that we are compelled to heed their cry for help!” (n. 15)

As he had pointed out in Evangelii Gaudium, the most defenseless of all are unborn children. Certainly they live in “fringes modern society itself creates” by its false and destructive declaration that they are not persons, that they do not deserve the protection of the law.

Living mercy means seeing their misery and speaking up for them. Death is a result of sin. Mercy not only forgives our sin, it rescues us from death. The Holy Year, the Pope writes, is “to proclaim liberty to those bound by new forms of slavery in modern society…to restore dignity to all those from whom it has been robbed” (n. 16). Let us practice mercy for the children in the womb, speaking up for them and rescuing them from death!

Priests for Life has come to signify two distinct but related movements within the wider pro-life movement.

On one level, as described below, Priests for Life refers to a very specific effort to galvanize the clergy to preach, teach, and mobilize their people more effectively in the effort to end abortion and euthanasia.

On another level, Priests for Life represents a family of ministries that reach and enrich every aspect of the pro-life movement, for clergy and laity alike, in a wide variety of activities. This has come to pass precisely because priests are not ordained for themselves, but for the people. So in activating clergy, we are activating all the segments of the Church, the pro-life movement, and the wider society in the defense of life.

We refer to this wider family of ministries as Gospel of Life Ministries, to indicate that what unites them all is the Gospel of Life, the good news that life is victorious over death!

So whether you are clergy or laity, young or old, active or inactive, and whatever your religious or ethnic background, you're in the right place if you want to do something to restore protection to the most vulnerable members of the human family!

The Pro-choice Mantra is “Every Child, a Wanted Child.”

by Sherry Antonetti
Catholic Stand

Man, that implies so much. That those who survive the Rubicon of the womb, they were desired, while those who did not, were not. Except it isn’t true. If you look at this world, there are plenty of children who suffer from neglect, from abuse, from the long tentacles of pain of parents who for whatever reason, do not “want” their children. If all children could only exist as long as their parents “wanted” them, most would be dismissed at some point during the ugly years. Some people like Dr. Peter Singer bio-ethicist at Princeton (cough, cough) have gone so far as to advocate this position, that those children deemed lacking in sufficient personhood, i.e. wanting, by their parents, can be legitimately disposed of up through the age of, at last check, two. But I’m sure the number is negotiable if you can make the case.

Want is insufficient. Want does not last forever. Wanting does, but not the want itself. Wants change. Wants fade. Wants are met. New ones take their place. And wants even when sated, do not satisfy forever. You may want a child, but do you want this one…the one you get? What do you Want the child for? If children are only tolerated while they are wanted, what happens when wants fade or change?

Gosnell-Era Secretary of the Commonwealth Should NOT be Reinstated

From Pennsylvania Family Council

Pedro Cortés was Secretary of the Commonwealth for all of Gov. Ed Rendell’s administration. It was during those years that many of the worst of Kermit Gosnell’s crimes at his “House of Horrors” abortion clinic occurred. When the Philadelphia grand jury delivered its report on the Gosnell clinic, it singled out for special critique two departments: the Department of Health, and the Cortés-led Department of State.

Now, Cortés is once again Acting Secretary of the Commonwealth, and his permanent appointment is before the State Senate. It is a slap in the face of Gosnell’s thousands of victims to re-appoint the man whose department was specifically condemned for its delinquency in regulating abortion clinics like Gosnell’s across Pennsylvania.

Pro-Life Action League in Court April 27th Fighting Planned Parenthood‏ in Aurora, Illinois

Prayers Requested!

Eric Scheidler, Executive Director
Pro-Life Action League

On Monday I'm going to be in state court in Illinois, fighting to have Planned Parenthood's huge abortion clinic in the city of Aurora shut down.

Planned Parenthood opened this massive "Abortion Fortress" back in 2007, after a long and deliberate campaign of lies and deception.

Aside from creating a front company to hide their identity, Planned Parenthood built their abortion center in an area where not-for-profit health centers are forbidden.

In other words, Planned Parenthood has been operating their Aurora, Illinois, abortion clinic ILLEGALLY for more than seven years.

I filed my lawsuit to shut them down on the very day they opened.Planned Parenthood has used every stall tactic available, and the case has dragged on ever since.

But on MONDAY, the case finally goes before the Illinois State Court of Appeals for a hearing. This could be HUGE.

Unborn, can I count on your prayers Monday as my attorneys go before the court to argue our case?

If we prevail with this case, Planned Parenthood's flagship facility in Illinois would be shut down for good!

Please pray that my attorneys argue with skill, that the justices on the court judge wisely, and that Planned Parenthood's lawyers will be confused and bewildered.

We'll be before the court at 8:30 a.m. Central time, and it would mean a great deal to me and my legal team to know that you're lifting our case up to the Lord.

Thanks for your support during this important hearing.

Urgent Alert from Pennsylvania Pro Life‏ Federation on Merit Selection of Judges

From Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director
Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

URGENT NOTE: We just got word that a number of the members of the PA House Judiciary Committee are keeping a running count of the number of calls they receive for and against so-called merit selection of judges. So, if you haven’t already done so, please call the members listed below and tell them you oppose merit selection because you don’t want your right to vote for judges to be taken away.
Thanks so much for making these critical calls!

A constitutional amendment is being introduced in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives which would take away our right to vote for judges for the PA Supreme Court, the Superior Court, and the Commonwealth Court. The amendment, which is referred to as “merit selection,” would establish a secretive appointment process for putting judges on the bench.

Please contact the pro-life members of the House Judiciary Committee, listed below, and urge them to oppose so-called merit selection of judges legislation. Tell them you don’t want your right to vote for judges taken away:

Thank you for making these important calls and sending these critical emails!

Pro-life Activists to Hold a Second Demonstration at Speaker Boehner’s Office on May 7th

Calling for the Ban of All Abortions After 20 Weeks‏

From Operation Rescue

WASHINGTON, DC — On May 7 activist leaders of 11 local and national pro-life groups will hold a second protest at House Speaker John Boehner’s office, when they will present him with a life-size model of a 20-week-old African-American preborn baby – a physical reminder of the babies whose lives hang in the balance while the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act languishes in Congress.

This protest follows one held at the Speaker’s office on March 25, in which eight pro-life activists were arrested for peacefully kneeling in front of his office.

Now, at the three-month mark following the Republican House Leadership’s cancellation of their promised vote on the 20-week abortion ban, leaders of pro-life activist groups stand united with leaders of national pro-life policy groups to urge a rescheduled vote.

Yesterday those policy groups released a joint statement (sba-list.org/newsroom/press-releases/pro-life-leaders-call-vote-5-month-abortion-limit) urging passage of this bill, which, as they noted, “protects women and their unborn children after 20 weeks, or 5 months of pregnancy, from painful and dangerous late-term abortions. It is a simple, compassionate proposal supported by a large majority of Americans, including women and young people.”

Our protest will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 12:00 P.M. at the Longworth House Office building.

Activists will hold a news conference outside of Longworth and then move to Speaker Boehner’s office at 1011 Longworth.

The pro-life groups plan to show pictures of abortion victims and fetal models of children aged 20 weeks. The groups include:

  • CEC For Life
  • Christian Defense Coalition
  • Citizens for a Pro-Life Society
  • Defend Life
  • Issues4Life Foundation

  • Operation Rescue
  • Maryland Coalition for Life

Think Teens, Porn, and Violent Sex are an Appropriate Mix?

Some people at Planned Parenthood do

by Adam Peters
Live Action News

Jesus told his followers to show concern for children, saying that they should be received in his name. The congregation at First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans takes an interesting approach to those instructions: They’ve embraced a group that receives children every day. In pieces.

Planned Parenthood is America’s largest abortion provider, ending over 300,000 young lives every year. That didn’t stop First Presbyterian from hosting a rally for the organization in March. Nor did it stop the church’s pastor, Rev. Fred J. Powell, from welcoming Planned Parenthood’s representatives to the pulpit last year.

THE PLAYGROUND OF HER SOUL | STORY OF JANE ROE

from Reverend Katherine Marple
KeepLifeLegal

“On March 17, 1970, I signed the affadavit that brought the holocaust of abortion into America,” McCorvey told AFA Journal. “And I thought I was doing something right; I thought I was doing something good, and I was wrong.” But before understanding her mistake years later, McCorvey realized Weddington and Coffee wanted her signature more than they wanted to help her.

Hillary to Church—Change on Abortion

From Bill Donohue
Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights

Bill Donohue comments on Hillary Clinton’s remarks yesterday at the Women in the World Summit in New York City:
It was not surprising that Hillary Clinton, who strongly opposes a ban on partial-birth abortion, would tell her feminist audience that she supports Planned Parenthood. What was surprising was her comment on the need to change religious beliefs on abortion. Here is what she said:

“Yes, we’ve cut the maternal mortality rate in half, but far too many women are still denied critical access to reproductive health [read: abortion] and safe childbirth. All the laws we’ve passed don’t count for much if they’re not enforced. Rights have to exist in practice, not just on paper. Laws have to be backed up with resources, and political will and deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs, and structural biases have to be changed.” (My italics.)

In other words, Hillary has a problem with the Catholic Church’s teachings on abortion—they must be changed.

Never before have we seen a presidential candidate be this bold about directly confronting the Catholic Church’s teachings on abortion. It’s time for Hillary to take the next step and tell us exactly what she plans to do about delivering on her pledge. Not only would practicing Catholics like to know, so would Evangelicals, Orthodox Jews, Muslims, and all those who value life from conception to natural death.

The Catholic League is the nation’s largest Catholic civil rights organization. Founded in 1973 by the late Father Virgil C. Blum, S.J., the Catholic League defends the right of Catholics – lay and clergy alike – to participate in American public life without defamation or discrimination.

Motivated by the letter and the spirit of the First Amendment, the Catholic League works to safeguard both the religious freedom rights and the free speech rights of Catholics whenever and wherever they are threatened.

The Catholic League is listed in the Official Catholic Directory and has won the plaudits of many bishops.  For more on the Catholic League, use this link.

Abortionist Calls 911 for "Lifeless" Patient: "Just Need Someone NOW"

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Bakersfield, CA - A 911 recording obtained by Operation Rescue reveals that abortionist Karen Mann placed a call for help to 911 on April 14, 2015 for a patient suffering an abortion complication, which resulted in abnormally low blood pressure that may have led to cardiac arrest.

Stress could be heard in Mann's voice as she told a dispatcher, "We just need someone now."

The patient was still under sedation from the procedure when her blood pressure dangerously dropped. At the end of the recording, Mann can be heard talking with a male who was in the procedure room with her.

"Can you give her presses? Do you have epinephrine or anything?" Mann asked him.

Epinephrine is often given in the event of cardiac arrest or a serious allergic reaction. "Presses" that Mann referred to could have referred to chest compressions administered during CPR.

#TOLERANCE BYTES: ADOPTION & RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

by Reverend Katherine Marple
KeepLifeLegal

Being prolife, we have to be prolife a child’s entire life, from conception to natural death. There are so many kids out there that need traditional homes, that WANT traditional homes, with a married man and woman, a mom and a dad. I cannot imagine that any child that is adoptable wants to be exploited by an agenda. However, children don’t have a choice in who will be their new parents. The only people whose choice is accepted is the adoption agency, social workers, the parents-to-be and the judge. Children who are too young to acknowledge the adoption has to trust in the ‘system’ to place them with the family who will be most beneficial to them. But that is hardly the case. Even though the Constitution gives every American the right of religious freedom, we cannot give adoptable children and faith-based adoption agencies the same rights?

Once again, the child has no voice or choice in the matter; a choice of the life they wish to have and who will provide it. As parents, we all know that a great start in life will provide children with the necessary tools for the rest of their lives. But giving them over to an agenda? That is an entirely different matter.

We Are Called to Abolish Abortion Completely

by Father Frank Pavone, National Director
Priests for Life

This August, Thomas Nelson/HarperCollins Publishers will release my book called Abolishing Abortion. I have never been more excited about anything I have written over these last four decades of my involvement in the pro-life movement. This is not simply a book about abortion -- it is a manifesto, declaring again what we need to do to end abortion, and asserting once again that there is no moral imperative that has greater priority and urgency than this. The manifesto challenges both the Church and the State to make the changes and sacrifices necessary to accomplish that goal.

And again, the goal is not simply to witness against abortion or to reduce the numbers of abortions. It is to end abortion. We are called -- we today, not some future generation -- to abolish abortion altogether, because not a single abortion can ever be justified. Any law that attempts to justify it is no law at all, but rather an act of violence.

In regard to this, let me present here a passage from my upcoming book:
"…Every abortion is equally wrong from a moral standpoint, and no law can ever justify a single abortion. … The very truth of personhood, the very urgency of recognizing and protecting the personhood of every child from conception forward, starts us and keeps us on the path of protecting life. This principle is not only true, but it is also the only acceptable goal of the pro-life movement. The work of this movement is not done unless and until every life is protected absolutely and without exception. And this principle is not only the goal of the pro-life movement; it is its fuel, its soul, its daily imperative.
"The incremental nature of our activities - the fact that at the present time we might pass a ban on abortions after twenty weeks but not before - is justified only as long as that limitation is not chosen by us but imposed on us by circumstances beyond our control. In other words, if I work to pass a law to protect children at twenty weeks and later, the failure to protect them earlier must be totally beyond the scope of what I can decide. As a goal, I can never decide, choose, will, or agree to make even a single abortion acceptable or legal. But if the legislative support for protecting babies before twenty weeks does not yet exist in a particular legislative body - if, in other words, the votes just aren’t there - then I can support that ban precisely because I’m doing everything I can at the moment.
"The very principle of personhood, in fact, prevents me from sitting back and not protecting the lives I am able to protect right now. It is not by conceding an exception to their personhood that I protect them, but precisely because I embrace their personhood. And that very conviction, that adherence to this unchangeable principle, is what keeps us going beyond our current goal to the next and to the next. All the while we seek to change the circumstances so that the steps are not so incremental. Ultimately, we move to one, irreducible, final goal of total, exception-free protection, and we get there through explicit acknowledgment that the child in the womb is just as much a person as the adult."

You can pre-order your copy of "Abolishing Abortion" now from Amazon here or from Barnes and Noble here.

See what key leaders are already saying about the book:

"I have known no better warrior in the fight to protect every human life than Father Pavone. His new book Abolishing Abortion makes the compelling case that the pro-life cause defends the same principles for which our Founding Fathers fought. As they pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor, so must we!"-- Senator Rick Santorum
"Father Pavone insightfully writes that Roe v. Wade didn’t just subvert the principle that no government can authorize the killing of the innocent, it subverted the very government our nation’s Founders created. Abolishing Abortion is about saving lives, but it’s also about saving our republic." -- Governor Mike Huckabee

Save the Dates - Restoration America 2015 Coming to Philadelphia

From Gary Leiber
Ten Good Men

Save the dates Friday-Sunday July 3-4-5, 2015 and join us in Philadelphia all 3 days if possible, but at least for the main event which will be a Solemn Assembly on Sunday July 5th, on Independence Mall across from Independence Hall, 12 Noon to 3:00 pm.

Here's a video with David Long explaining the vision of this event called "Restoration America 2015." It's worth the time to view the whole 18-minute video, and prayerfully consider your part. Share the video below with your pastor or other leaders. Contact Gary at GaryLeber@gmail.com for more information.

America is in a crisis. For over 40 years we have legalized the killing of unwanted children. And now, over 50 million deaths later, we don't seem to be losing much sleep over it.
Abortion in America alone has been responsible for more deaths then the genocidal mass killings of Hitler and Stalin combined - Something needs to be done about this.

Fortunately there has been action taken to stop this outrage. Prayer in front of abortion facilities has shut down mills all over the country and changed the minds of many who were seeking abortion. But there are still scores of abortions that continue day by day with no one to stand in the gap between life and death.

We need to do more. We will never see a change in this nation until the church not only takes collective action, but more importantly we repent of our apathy, epitomized in allowing our neighbors to murder their children.

Alito Halts HHS Mandate for Pittsburgh and Erie Dioceses

BY CATHOLIC NEWS SERVICE

PITTSBURGH (CNS) — Officials in the Pittsburgh and Erie dioceses hailed a decision by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito to temporarily halt enforcement of the federal contraceptive mandate against Catholic Charities and other social service agencies in the dioceses.

The U.S. government was ordered to file a response by April 20.

“This stay is a welcome but interim step in pursuit of the religious freedom that our laws and Constitution have guaranteed to all Americans,” Bishop David A. Zubik of Pittsburgh said in a statement April 17. “We remain in prayer that justice will prevail and that Catholic Charities will be allowed to follow the teachings of the Catholic Church.”

Anne-Marie Welsh, spokeswoman for the Erie Diocese, said church officials there also were pleased with Alito’s order “responding to our emergency request to the Supreme Court to recall and stay the mandate.”

“We are grateful to the Jones Day law firm, which continues to pursue this on our behalf on a pro bono basis,” she added.
