Columbus, OH – June 16, 2016 – The Columbus, OH City Council has proposed Ordinance 1458-2016 under the guise of protecting women and men seeking elective abortions. However, as the Ohio ACLU has declared, this ordinance would in practice "present an unacceptable barrier to free speech." Watch as Mark Harrington, National Director of Created Equal, demonstrates where the City Council wants to put us: in harm's way!

Watch  the  video below as Mark Harrington demonstrates where the City Council wants to put pro-lifers or view it on YouTube using this link.

Creating a 15-foot buffer around abortion facilities would censor the free speech of pro-life individuals who regularly stand outside the facility property lines to speak for preborn babies and counsel those entering. Further, if enacted, this ordinance would endanger citizens by forcing pro-lifers into busy roadways.

Read the Ohio ACLU's letter to Columbus City Attorney Pfeiffer condemning the ordinance.

"This proposed measure to censor free speech and put law-abiding pro-life men and women in harm's way is unconscionable. This is nothing more than an attempt to bully us into silence. But we will not be intimidated." – Mark Harrington, National Director, Created Equal.
