There’s an old saying that goes “put your money where your mouth is”. When it comes to Planned Parenthood - and the companies that support it - perhaps we would make a greater impact by removing our money. A little nonviolent boycott activism can be a successful tool if executed consistently.
2nd Vote describes itself as a "conservative watchdog for corporate activism”. In December 2016, 2nd Vote updated its list of corporations that provide funding directly or indirectly to Planned Parenthood. In reviewing the lists, much of the money seems to flow via local United Way organizations or through employee gift matching programs. Specific details are provided by just clicking on each corporation name. In some cases the corporations donate to both pro-abortion and pro-life charities. The list is continually updated as some companies break ties with Planned Parenthood or conversely, initiate donations to it.
It’s going to be a long winter. This might be a good time to examine your closets, pantries and medicine cabinets to see what products you have been purchasing that are aligned with companies that support Planned Parenthood and contact their Public Relations departments directly with your concerns. Remember, the pen is mightier than the sword and the wallet is mightier than both!
