Pro-Life Action League
Below are some upcoming Pro-Life activities for 2017 sponsored by the Pro-Life Action League:
Friday, April 14: Pro-Life Way of the Cross
Last year, pro-lifers gathered outside abortion clinics in 81 cities to pray an ecumenical "Way of the Cross" prayer service. They prayed for everything from legal protection for unborn children to the conversion of abortionists. I'd like to see us top 100 cities this year!
Saturday, April 29: 2nd Annual Nationwide #ProtestPP Rally
The first annual nationwide #ProtestPP rally last April was held at 228 Planned Parenthood centers -- an impressive number, but far short of the 650 centers PP operates around the country. We need to build this event -- especially with defunding PP being a major goal for the pro-life movement in 2017.
Saturday, September 9: National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children
No event better reveals the true inspiration of the pro-life movement than this annual visitation to the gravesites and memorial sites of aborted children. We mourn for them because we love them. And with states proposing new laws requiring proper burial for aborted children, the media will be more interested than ever in this event (in fact, I'm talking to a reporter from the Los Angeles Times about this tomorrow!).
Saturday, December 16: Peace in the Womb Pro-Life Christmas Caroling
Last year, the number of cities taking part in Christmas caroling at abortion clinics jumped from 39 to 67 -- a nearly 60% increase -- and earned outstanding media coverage, including a piece in the National Catholic Register. Please note that if December 16 isn't a good date for you, you're welcome to hold this even at any time during Advent.
Please mark your calendar for each of these nationwide pro-life events. More information will be provided as these dates approach. Until then, I'll be praying for success for all your pro-life activities.
The Pro-Life Action League is dedicated to saving mothers and babies from abortion through peaceful direct action. We encourage all pro-life Americans to join us on the front lines, actively fighting for an end to abortion. We are very active in Illinois, where we are headquartered, but our activism reaches across the globe. For more information, please use this link.
