Last week, I wrote to tell you about the Democratic National Convention’s new platform plank calling for an end to the Hyde Amendment.
The Hyde Amendment is a law in force for the past 40 years that says no taxpayer dollars can be used in programs like Medicaid to pay for elective abortions.
That means if they get their way, you and I would be forced to pay for elective abortions in Medicaid and other federal programs.
This week, an article in the Associated Press stated there are now 119 co-sponsors, all Democrats, of a bill in the U.S. House to nullify the Hyde Amendment.
In other words, the 119 House Democrats want to force you to start paying for abortions with your federal tax dollars, no matter what reasons of conscience or belief make you understand that abortion is morally indefensible.
