Show Me the Money - Day 22 of the United 40 Days for Life Campaign

Shawn D. Carney President

Planned Parenthood says it offers more than abortions -- but everything it does is geared towards recruiting potential abortion customers.

Pregnancy and STD testing, for instance, brings in clientele who could one day return. And 40 Days for Life offers an opportunity to meet those people and steer them in another direction.

Kathy in Columbia, Missouri tells of the young woman who arrived for an STD test -- which she thought was free.

It wasn't.

Since she had no money, Planned Parenthood simply sent her away.

Donna in Dover, Delaware had a similar conversation with a young man who assumed the STD tests at Planned Parenthood were free.

She also spoke to two women who wanted to have children, but didn't realize Planned Parenthood did abortions. They described the center as"creepy" and "evil."

Donna said, "I considered it a good day full of education -- and no abortion!"

40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion. It draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:
  • Prayer and fasting
  • Constant vigil
  • Community outreach
